Information on the airports in Spain

There are a few airports in Spain scattered around the different provinces. This guide will give details of the various Spanish airports and list the airlines that fly to and from the UK. It is worth noting that Spain is rapidly expanding many of the airport across the country and there is also set to be a few more airports constructed.

Malaga Airport in Southern Spain is currently undergoing a huge expansion plan with the construction of a new airport terminal so that more flights can be handled everyday.

Gibraltar Airport is now allowing interal Spanish flights to and from Madrid and there are plans to add another terminal building on the Spanish side of the border.

Murcia's San Javier Airport is actually shared with the military but there is now an agreement to allow more flights in and out of the airport.

Corvera - At last it looks like plans have been agreed and the new airport in the Murcia region will start to be built. It is expected to be operation by 2010 / 2011.

Madrid Airport Spain

Girona Airport (GRO) Costa Brava Spain

Girona Airport (GRO) is located just outside of the city of Girona and is situated a short distance from the A7 motorway. It is the main airport serving the holiday resorts of the Costa Brava and is known as either Barcelona Girona Airport or Girona Costa Brava (GRO) Airport. Alicante Airport Costa Blanca Spain

Gibraltar airport bordering Southern Spain

Gibraltar airport is located on the southern tip of Spain and the Costa del Sol, just before you enter the Costa de la Luz.
