Girona airport is the main airport that serves the holiday destinations on the Costa Brava. It is about 1 hour 20 minutes from the city of Barcelona (110 km) and is the best choice if staying on the Costa Brava. Girona airport itself is ideally situated on the A7 autopista making it easy to get to and from the main holiday resorts. You will hear the airport referred to as either Barcelona Girona Airport or Girona Costa Brava Airport (GRO).

How to get to and from Girona Airport

By Car - The airport is situated just off of the main A7 motorway which links the main resorts of the Costa Brava.

By Taxi - All resorts on the Costa Brava have numerous taxi ranks. There are lots of taxis available just outside of the airport terminal and although some fares to the more local resorts and Girona city are reasonable, expect tp pay around 150 euros to Barcelona.

By Train - There is a tran station close to the airport and provides a service directly to the city of Girona.

By Bus - If you are flying with Ryan Air they provide a regular bus service to many destinations and you can get a bus all the way to Barcelona.
