Granada Airport is one of the new airports to open in Andalucia and has grown rapidly in terms of both popularity and infrastructure. There are some low cost airlines already flying to Granada Airport such as Ryanair and Monarch. From within Spain there are some domestic flights operating between Garanada and Madrid, Granada and Barcelona as well as flights to the Spanish Islands Granada to Palma and Granada to Gran Canaria.

The current UK routes to Granada Airport include flights between Granada Airport to and Liverpool Airport, Granada Airport and Gatwick Airport, Granada Airport and Stanstead Airport and Granada Airport to Nottingham Airport (from Feb 2007).

Parking at Granada Airport
As with most Spanish airports the parking charges are a fraction of what you would expect to pay in UK airports. If you are leaving a car for a longer period of time there are now some long term privately owned car parks around Granada Airport that might provide a better solution in terms of security and cost.

About Granada Airport
The airport is nicely laid out so things are easy to find and as it is all on one single level there are no stairs or lifts to negotiate with your baggage. As you enter the terminal building at Granada Airport you will find the departures located on your right and the arrivals located to your left (all clearly signposted).

Granada Airport to the city centre
If you are getting to the city centre via taxi (located just outside of the main terminal building) you should expect to pay around 25 euros for the 12km journey. If you fancy a cheaper option there is a bus service that runs to Granada city centre, again the bus stop is just outside the terminal.
