There are many well known holiday resorts on the Costa Blanca all offering stunning beaches and a wide variety of facilities for individuals, couples, families and groups of fun loving youngsters looking for a good time. The Costa Blanca essentially stretches from Gandia in the north to Torrevieja in the South. The oldest and most established holiday resort on the Costa Blanca is Benidorm and has been a first choice for many Brits looking for the warm Mediterranean sun, long sandy beaches and nightlife. Nowadays the choice of holiday resorts on the Costa Blanca is much wider and places like Alicante, Valencia, Denia and Javea have all joined the list of sought after resorts. Visitors to the Costa Blanca will be pleasantly surprised by the landscapes and beaches of the Costa Blanca. The Spanish tourist office is actively promoting much more than the beach holiday side of the Costa Blanca. There is a lot of traditional Spanish culture in the area and plenty of things to do away from the beaches and main holiday resorts of the Costa Blanca. Some of the lesser known towns and villages are well worth a visit as they provide an insight into the real Spanish way of life. So if you are staying in one of the holiday resorts on the Costa Blanca why not take a trip to places like Villajoyosa, a pretty town that has building painted in different colours, or how about the stunning Algar waterfalls. The average climate on the Costa Blanca is around 19 degrees celcius peaking in the summer months to over 30 degrees. This makes it a perfect choice for holiday makers with small children of for people that want to enjoy the good weather and climate but stay slightly cooler than some of the more southern holiday resorts.
