La Cala de Mijas

La Cala de Mijas is lierally five minutes from Fuengirola and has become a popular holiday resort in its own right. There are two main sides to La Cala de Mijas, the coastal side with beautiful sandy beaches and the mountain side which is home to La Cala Golf, a popular residential complex and great quality golf course.

You will find both are equally as popular with holiday makers although there is a hotel located on the beach side.

The main La Cala de Mijas resort is made up of a few side streets and a main street with bars, restaurants, shops, and supermarkets.

There are always people buzzing around La Cala de Mijas and you will quickly see that it is extremely popular with the British holiday makers and residents.

Like many of the smaller resorts on the Costa del Sol, La Cala de Mijas was once a fishing village which just grew and grew to become one of the Costa del Sol's most important resorts.
